Der OPI Nagellack der Woche: OPI Red

Kennt ihr den Song "Ob blond, ob braun, ich liebe alle Frau'n"? So geht es mir mit Nagellack. Nagellack geht einfach immer. Es gibt vielleicht ein, zwei Farben in meiner Sammlung die jetzt kein Highlight sind, aber tragbar. Irgendwann. Zuhause. Sonntags. Wie gesagt, ich liebe alle Farben, aber irgendwie kehre ich immer wieder zu rotem Nagellack zurück. Müsste ich eine Farbe bis zum Ende meines Lebens tragen, dann wäre es ganz sicher Rot. So ein Rot wie OPI Red vielleicht. OPI Red ist ein Klassiker. Suzi mag es anscheinend auch sehr gerne, sonst hätte sie dieses fabelhafte, cremige Rot mit pinken Untertönen und feinem Schimmer in Silber und Pink wohl kaum zu OPI's Vorzeigerot erklärt. Damit gehe ich d'accord (deshalb auch die Bilderflut). Die Konsistenz ist perfekt, ehrlich. Weder zu flüssig, noch zu fest. Deckend mit nur einer Schicht. Ich habe zwei Schichten plus Topcoat lackiert damit die Maniküre auch wirklich die ganze Woche hält. Das macht an der Stelle wahrscheinlich wenig bis gar keinen Sinn, aber rote Nägel funktionieren für mich immer optimal mit Ballerinas, Streifenshirt und Trenchcoat. Ergibt das irgendeinen Sinn für jemanden? Nein? Dann habe ich in meinem Leben vielleicht auch einfach nur zu viel an Nagellackentfernern geschnüffelt...

Man, I love nail polish. I never get tired of it. Never. There are maybe one or two nail polishes in my collection which are just okay and it will require a special occasion to wear them (I'm thinking of a lazy sunday at home in my pjs), but the rest of my stash? Love them all. I mean, I like all kind of colors, really, but somehow I always return to reds. Red is my all time favorite. A red like OPI Red for example. This one is a classic. It's safe to say its a classic, because Suzi decided to name this gorgeous color OPI Red. I totally agree with her (thats why included a ton of pictures for your enjoyment). It is a creamy red with pink undertones and subtle silver and pink shimmer. Formulawise it's perfection. Not too thin or thick and opaque with one coat. I applied two coats plus top coat to make it last all week. I'm not sure if it makes any sense or if the many years of accidental nail polish remover sniffing had some kind of weird influence on me, but red nail polish makes me want to wear stripes, ballet flats and trench coats all the time. Does that make any sense for you? No, thought so. Just ignore my crazy talk.

Der OPI Nagellack der Woche: Road House Blues

In dieser Woche geht es wieder etwas dunkler auf meinen Nägeln zu. Ja, es ist eigentlich Frühling. Und ja, ich musste heute morgen kratzen. Also irgendwie unentschieden. Deswegen ist Dunkelblau genau richtig: Road House Blues aus der Touring America Kollektion aus dem Herbst 2011 ist ein schönes, sattes Dunkelblau. Es hat die perfekte Konsistenz und deckt mit einer Schicht schon optimal und glänzt auch ohne Topcoat wie verrrückt. Road Houde Blues hat leichte Untertöne in Lila, wirkt aber wie ein echtes Blau, geht also nicht in Richtung Schwarz (auch wenn es auf den Bildern vielleicht so rüberkommt).

This week's choice of nail polish may appear to dark to be a spring color. But otherwise it's rather cold these days, so Road House Blues from OPI's fall 2011Touring America collection is just right. Road House Blues is a dark, creamy blue with some purple undertones. Altough it is a very dark blue, it is far away from being black. It is opaque with one coat and is incredibly shiny even without top coat.

Stuff I love: Origins GinZing refreshing eye cream to brighten and depuff

Obwohl ich die All About Eyes Augencreme von Clinique wirklich gerne mag, probiere ich zwischendurch natürlich immer mal etwas anderes aus. Die GinZing Augencreme von Origins zum Beispiel.

Die GinZing refreshing eye cream to brighten and depuff von Origins ist unter anderem frei von Parabenen, Phtalaten und Mineralölen. Asiatischer Ginseng und Magnolienextrakt sollen Tränensäcke, dunkle Schatten und Schwellungen lindern. Ich benutze die Augencreme jetzt schon seit einiger Zeit und kann bestätigen, dass sie dunkle Schatten optisch wirklich ein klein wenig reduziert. Das kann aber auch an der hellen Tönung liegen. Die Creme an sich ist cremig aber nicht schwer oder gar fettig. Ich kann einen leichten Schimmer oder glow erkennen. Einmal aufgetragen ist davon aber nichts mehr zu sehen. Ich trage sie am liebsten morgens auf, wenn ich mal wieder dunkle Pandaaugen habe - die, für die man keine Mascara braucht. Die empfindliche Haut unter den Augen fühlt sich nicht trocken an. Concealer und Puder zum fixieren=leichte Trockenheit und weniger Feuchtigkeit. Das habe ich mit anderen Augencremes allerdings auch erlebt. 

Die Origins GinZing refreshing eye cream ist beispielsweise bei der Parfümerie Pieper oder im Origins online shop erhältlich. 15ml kosten zwischen 30 und 34€.

Altough I really like Clinique's all about eyes eye cream, I'm always up to trying something new. So when I came across Origins GinZing refreshing eye cream I decided to give it a try. Origins GinZing refreshing eye cream to brighten and depuff is formulated without parabens, phthalates and mineral oils. Panax ginseng and magnolia extract are supposed to diminish dark circles and puffiness. I have been using it for some time now and I think I really see a slight difference in my under eye area. Not sure if it's the ingredients or because the cream is tinted. The consistency is creamy, but not heavy. I can spot a very, very subtle shimmer or rather a glow, but once applied it disappears. I prefer using it in the morning when my dark circles are like "yeah, in your face". My skin feels hydrated until I use my concealer and setting powder. Then my skin feels a little bit dry, but I have experienced the same thing with other eye creams as well. Origins refreshing eye cream to brighten and depuff (15ml/ 0.5oz) is available in their online shop or in other diverse online shops. The price varies between 30-34€.

Clinique Cheek Pop: 02 Peach Pop

Endlich!!! Als ich die neuen Clinique Cheek Pops das erste Mal auf diversen Amerikanischen Blogs sah, war mein Blush-Herz entzückt. Diese hübsche Prägung, diese Farben...Ich war hin&weg. Regelmäßig habe ich alle Parfümerien und Onlineshops gestalkt und nichts gefunden. Auf der Homepage von Clinique waren sie längst vergriffen und so musste ich bis Mitte März warten, bis sie wieder erhältlich waren. Aber das Warten hat sich gelohnt:

Am Sonntag bestellte ich den Clinique Cheek Pop in der Farbe 02 Peach Pop und heute konnte ich ihn dann auspacken. Ich würde Peach Pop als peachy Koralle bezeichnen (Ich bin leider ein absoluter Farbbezeichnungs und Swatch Loser). Das Blush schimmert nicht, zaubert aber durch das Satin Finish einen wunderschönen Glow. Peach Pop ist überhaupt nicht pudrig, sondern butterweich und lässt sich sehr gut verblenden. Es sieht wahnsinnig natürlich auf den Wangen aus. Die Gerbera-Prägung bedarf keiner weiteren Schwärmerei, oder? Zum Benutzen fast zu schade...Soweit ich weiß, sind die neuen Cheek Pops limitiert, also würde ich so schnell wie möglich zugreifen. Eigentlich sollten sie ins Standardsortiment aufgenommen werden. Sie müssen sogar.

Finally!!! The first time I spotted Clinique's new Cheek Pops on several American blogs my blush loving heart was delighted. I mean, take a look at them. I was hooked. I stalked my local beauty suppliers and online sources, but couldn't find them nowhere. On Clinique's website they were sold out and so I had to wait till mid-March, because then they would be back in stock. But trust me when I say, they are worth the long wait:

I have ordered my Clinique Cheek Pop in 02 Peach Pop on sunday and here it is. I would describe Peach Pop as a peachy coral with a satin finish (Unfortunately I suck at describing and swatching colors, sorry) . It has no shimmer but leaves a gorgeous, natural glow on the skin. It is not powdery at all. It is smooth and buttery and blends easily. Do I have to mention how insanely pretty this embossed gerbera is? I must convince myself to use it and destroy the design. Here in Germany they have been released as a limited edition. Let's hope that they will be added to the permanent line.
I found my Cheek Pop at Clinique's online shop where it retailed for 29,50€. Orders over 25€ receive free shipping. I added two samples to my basket: my beloved all about eyes eye cream and a sample size of their pore refinig solutions serum. As the sample of the week they added Clinique's anti-blemish solutions clinical clearing gel to my order.

Der OPI Nagellack der Woche: I Don't Give A Rotterdam!

Obwohl es heute zwar so gar nicht frühlingshaft ist, versüße ich mir die Wolken mit einem Nagellack aus der Frühjahrs Holland Kollektion von 2012. I Don't Give A Rotterdam! ist ein rauchiges Hellblau mit jede Menge silbernem Schimmer. Der Schimmer macht die Farbe sehr besonders. I Don't Give A Rotterdam! ist allerdings etwas 'dünn', deshalb trage ich drei Schichten plus Topcoat auf den Bildern. Ich habe ja schon einige Lacke aus dieser Kollektion vorgestellt, unter anderem auch I Have A Herring Problem (hier zu sehen). I Don't Give A Rotterdam! und I Have A Herring Problem sehen sich schon ziemlich ähnlich. Sie sind vielleicht nicht unbedingt Zwillinge, aber ganz sicher Geschwister. Hübsch sind beide und wenn man wie ich Nagellack einfach nur hortet, braucht man sicher beide Farben. Geschwister sollten ja auch immer zusammenbleiben.


Although today's weather is not spring like at all, I like to get me in a spring mood with OPI's I Don't Give A Rotterdam! from the spring Holland collection 2012. It is a light blue that's definitely dusty and has a great amount of silver shimmer in it. The shimmer makes it really unique. I Don't Give A Rotterdam's! formula is on the sheerer side so I ended up applying three coats of color plus one coat of top coat. I posted a lot of nail polishes from this collection on my blog, maybe you remember I Have A Herring Problem? No, here you have it. I Don't Give A Rotterdam! and I Have A Herring Problem are very similar, not exactly twins but siblings. If you're a nail polish hoarder like me, you probably need both of them. Besides that, siblings should stick together.

Der OPI Nagellack der Woche: Yes...I Can-Can!

In dieser Woche gibt es mal wieder einen wunderschönen Nagellack aus der fabelhaften La Collection de France aus dem Herbst 2008. Leider habe ich immer noch nicht alle Farben zusammen, aber A Oui Bit of Red und Louvre Me, Louvre Me Not habe ich schon hier auf dem Blog gezeigt und jetzt gibt es die nächste Runde: Yes...I Can-Can! ist ein dunkler Pflaumenton mit subtilem, silbernem Schimmer. Ich habe zwei Schichten Yes...I Can-Can! plus Topcoat aufgetragen und bin mit dem Ergebnis mehr als zufrieden. Weil diese Woche die Sonne scheinen soll, wird der Schimmer auch immer schön zu sehen sein.

More La Collection de France fabulousness! I love, love, love this collection. I'm still collecting all nail polishes which have been released with the La Collection de France in the fall of 2008. I already blogged about A Oui Bit of Red and Louvre Me, Louvre Me Not and here comes another pretty color: Yes...I Can-Can! is a vampy, dark plum with subtile, silver shimmer. In the pictures below Iam wearing two coats of Yes...I Can-Can! plus top coat. The sunshine really brings out the shimmer of this color and thankfully the weather is supposed to be like this all week.

MAC A Fantasy of Flowers LE: Mineralize Blush Petal Power

Als ich letzte Woche am MAC Counter ankam und die neue Kollektion A Fantasy of Flowers schon halb leer gekauft war, habe ich es schon geahnt...Auf meiner Wunschliste standen Stereo Rose (bekommen, hier zu sehen) und Petal Power. Tja, schade. Nix mehr zu holen, aber eine wahnsinnig nette, junge Douglas-Dame hat wohl meinen traurigen Gesichtsausdruck nicht ertragen können und hat sich meiner angenommen. Sie hat das allerletzte Rouge aus einer anderen Filiale bestellt. Tadaaa, hier ist es: Das Mineralize Blush in der Farbe Petal Power ist ein wunderschöner Korallton mit goldenem Schimmer. Eigentlich bin ich kein Fan von zu viel Glitzer oder Schimmer, aber in diesem Fall ist er nicht zu grobkörnig. 26€ hat das Rouge gekostet und war natürlich ratzfatz ausverkauft.

When I arrived at my local Douglas to take a look at MAC's new limited edition collection A Fantasy of Flowers last saturday, most things were sold out already. I could take home Stereo Rose with me (here you have it), but Petal Power was gone for good... A very nice sales person must have noticed my super sad face expression and ordered the very last blush from some other store and here it is: MAC's Mineralize Blush in Petal Power is a pink coral with gold shimmer. Normally I'm not a fan of too much shimmer or glitter, but in this case the shimmer is rather fine. It retailed for 26€ and was sold out in seconds so it seems.

MAC A Fantasy of Flowers LE: Mineralize Skinfinish Stereo Rose

Seit Samstag ist die limitierte MAC A Fantasy of Flowers Kollektion erhältlich und dem leeren Aufsteller am selbigen Tag nach zu urteilen, sind mal wieder alle restlos begeistert (sogar in meiner Kleinstadt..Blush? Alle weg). Zum Glück habe ich das wunderschöne Mineralize Skinfinish in der Farbe Stereo Rose noch ergattern können. Natürlich ist mir der Hype und die Kritik and diesem MSF nicht entgangen. Als Stereo Rose mit der Aprés Chic Kollektion released wurde, habe ich es leider nicht bekommen und daher keine Vergleichsmöglichkeit. Ein wenig Recherche im Netz zeigt aber, dass Stereo Rose 2014 deutlich heller ist. Macht die Farbe jetzt aber auch nicht weniger schön wie ich finde. Genau, zurück zur Farbe. Stereo Rose ist ein pfirsich-farbenes Roségold mit feinem, metallischem Schimmer. Als Blush aufgetragen finde ich es alleine etwas zu hell, deshalb trage ich es lieber über einem dunkleren Rouge auf. Und das so ziemlich jeden Tag seit Samstag.
Gekauft habe ich mein MSF bei Douglas für 29,00€ (wo es vermutlich schon ausverkauft ist).

On saturday MAC's latest limited edition collection A Fantasy of Flowers landed in stores. The displays at my local Douglas were nearly empty by the end of the day, which means that people really like this collection (there were like zero blushes left, zero!). Fortunately, I got my hands on the Mineralize Skinfinish in Stereo Rose. Of course, I believed the hype and had to have it. And yes, I heard about the mysterious other Stereo Rose. The last time Stereo Rose has been released with the Aprés Chic collection I missed it, so that I can't compare the older version to the new one now. But if you do a little research, the world wide web will show you that the older version is much darker. Nevertheless, the 2014 MSF is very pretty. It is a peachy rose gold with metallic shimmer. I like to layer it over a darker blush, because I think that worn alone it might be too light on the skin. I wear it everyday, so it's safe to say that I have a new favorite Mineralize Skinfinish.
I bought my MSF for 29€ at my local Douglas (but I'm a 100% positive that it is sold out by now).
