Mein langes Warten hat endlich ein Ende. OPI hat sich mal wieder mit der Disney-Heldin Minnie Mouse zusammengeschlossen und eine neue (Zwischen-)Kollektion kreiert. Die Aufsteller der Couture de Minnie Collection gibt es im Müller schon länger, aber wie auch bei der Vorgängerkollektion, wollte ich das Miniset haben (
hier zu sehen). Die Sets sind einfach zuckersüß. Schließlich entdeckte ich die
Runway Minnies bei Asos und ratzfatz wurden sie bestellt. In dieser Woche möchte ich euch den einzigen liquid sand-Lack der Kollektion zeigen:
Magazine Cover Mouse ist ein wunderschönes Erdbeerrot mit feinem Glitzer in pink, rot und gold. Er trocknet sehr schnell und deckt mit einer Schicht fast schon ausreichend. Ich habe zwei Schichten für die Fotos unten verwendet und natürlich auf Topcoat verzichtet.
Mich erinnerte die Farbe sofort an
The Impossible aus der Mariah Carey Kollektion (
hier zu sehen).
Magazine Cover Mouse ist dunkler und hat feinere Glitzerpartikel. Ich finde die Farbe ein klein wenig weihnachtlich und da es im Moment regnet und draußen tatsächlich herbstlich aussieht, fühle ich mich auch nicht so schuldig, weil ich keine crazy Sommerfarbe auf den Nägeln trage.
P.S. Eigentlich sollte die Farbe der Woche eine ganz andere sein...Montags habe ich Chic From Ears to Tail (die zweite Farbe von rechts im Set) aufgepinselt und war damit nicht so glücklich. Die Farbe war streifig, brauchte drei Schichten und ließ mich aussehen wie eine Barbie. Ich hätte nie gedacht, dass ich so etwas wie eine Komfortzone habe wenn es um Nagellack geht, aber Barbie/Kaugummi-Pink ist auf jeden fall weit außerhalb dieser.
P.S.S: Ich bin nach wie vor gespannt auf die San Francisco Kollektion und die liquid sands. Wharf! Wharf! Wharf! und It's All San Andreas'a Fault sind zwei von drei liquid sands aus der Reihe, die ohne Glitzer auskommen. Haben will!
Once again OPI has teamed up with Disney to create another Minnie Mouse collection and I finally got my hands on the super cute mini set (see the previous mini set
here). The Couture de Minnie displays including the nail polishes in the regular size have been around for some time, but I couldn't manage to find the mini set called
Runway Minnies. But here it is and here is the first color I'm showing you:
Magazine Cover Mouse is the only liquid sand shade that is included. It is a strawberry red with fine gold, pink and red shimmer. It dries fast and you can reach good opacity with one coat. I used two for the pictures below and no top coat of course.
Magazine Cover Mouse reminded me a lot of
The Impossible from the Mariah Carey collection (see it
here), but
Magazine Cover Mouse is darker and has no larger chunks of glitter.
To me this color feels a little bit christmasy. The weather outside is very much fall like and rainy so I don't feel bad not wearing a screaming summer color.
PS: Originally I had planned another color to be the color of the week..but Chic From Ears to Tail (third color in the set) couldn't make me happy. It applied streaky, needed three coats and made me look like Barbie. I didn't know that I have something like a comfort zone when it comes to nail polish, but Barbie/bubblegum-pinks are way out of my comfort zone.
PSS: I'm still excited about the San Francisco collection and about the liquid sand shades Wharf! Wharf! Wharf! and It's All San Andreas's Fault which are two of three liquid sands that have no glitter. Want!

Last but not least: My new super cool leather jacket by Mango. My parents got me this as my "moving to Hamburg"-present. They are the best!
